To My Readers..........Yup, I'm "ON VACATION!"

I've been off and on vacation for a good part of the last week and won't be back until August 12th. The Doom-And_gloom we're seeing on a daily basis sometimes clouds the fact that we do live in a very unique country with a diversity of climate and geology to enjoy as we can afford.
If you're going on vacation soon, please consider the following:
-Drive as little as possible. Though the media rub our "staycations" in our faces, we have an obligation to ourselves to limit our mileage and make sure our other obligations are seen to. If you must drive; please drive safely and keep an eye on all the idiots on the road;you're outnumbered by them.
-Eat healthy if you can, though I would never consider any sort of vacation worthwhile without the benefit of distilled spirits or beer. BBQ and salads rule!
- Do some reading. Preferably something that will benfit you economically or financially. But some diversionary reading can quell the mind of it's troubles for awhile. Ron Paul's books or essay make for great reading if you need a political fix.
- Engage in some physical activity. Summertime is great for biking, volleyball, swimming etc etc. Get rid of those stress toxins with some good sweaty effort and you'll sleep great too!
- Take the time to enjoy family, friend and neighbors. If things get as bad as we think they are, we'll need our families and friends for support, help and guidance. Be joyful with your children, they're not going to be around as long as you think they will.
- The cooler climates of autumn are coming whether we choose to deal with it or not. Get your home as energy efficient as possible. I'm not an advocate or fan of those "bullshit" lightbulbs, but I am a fan of properly installed insulation, pellet stoves and warm sweatshirts and sweaters. The time to get this type of work done is now, while the sun is bright and high in the sky.
- Rest and meditate. It'll make your whole life better.
Keep the faith my loyal readers. We'll find a way to get through the coming "Greater Depression."
